Bartender

The Bartender will prepare and serve beverages in a quick, efficient, friendly and professional manner. Saluhall Bartenders will mix ingredients to prepare cocktails with a creative flair and speciality craft, representing Saluhall DNA at any of our 3 bars:

• Our first floor bar captures the spirit of lagom by focusing on our core range of beers and wine alongside six low and no-alcohol cocktails.
• On the second floor, we will offer experiences inspired by America’s rich history of cocktails and fruit punches, and punsch, the traditional Swedish liqueur. Here we use the garden of California as our guide to create delicious cocktails with seasonal fruits.
• Also on the second floor, we will offer a wood-paneled sanctuary for conversation by day, and a beautiful drinking den by night. Expect great mixologists serving classic cocktails with a twist.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests with making eye contact, smiling and maintaining proper posture.
• Take orders and prepare any beverage off the beverage menu as well as maintain an extensive knowledge of the food menu in order to assist guests with any inquiries or suggestions. 
• Handles cash till according to Saluhall standards, following all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
• Completes bartender close out at end of shift.
• Collects and reports all tips.
• Maintain a clean bar area and keep an inventory of needed supplies.
• Works as a member of the Saluhall team.
• Interacts with service crew in a positive manner.
• Assists others whenever needed.
• Interacts with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, particularly in resolving Guest complaints.
• Anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are made.
• Follow proper time and attendance and uniform procedures.
• Responsible for counting all bar stock and inventory.
• Maintain the Saluhall cocktail & bar service DNA, consistency and delivery.
• Maintain and support the Saluhall bar service, opening and closing procedures.
• Make sure all bar storage and prep areas operate to Saluhall standards.
• Support with the set-up, closing and opening procedures.
• Support with cocktail training, methods, techniques and speed.
• Support bar-backs with prep, set-up and closing, develop better more efficient practices within the Saluhall bar DNA standards.

Preferred Experience

• At least 3 years of prior high-volume Bartending experience
• Lightspeed POS
• Excellent customer service skills
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Local to the San Francisco area, no relocation is provided for this role
• Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish) are preferred

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

• Most work tasks are performed indoors.Temperature is moderated and controlled by facility environmental systems
• Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time
• Able to lift up to 25lbs. and on a regular and continuing basis 
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks 
• Manual dexterity required to use and operate all necessary equipment
• Talking, hearing and seeing (vision) occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, Supervisors and other Employees
• Has an open and flexible availability as schedules may change based on business demand
